On the 29th of March we shot the annual Club Photographs for the FPV & XR Club of QLD. There was a great turnout of 20 cars from the club that were immaculately presented. Here are the photos from the shoot….                        

In January 2008 the FPV & XR Owners club of QLD held a club display at the Ballina Car Show. It was a good day scattered with rain but none the less acheived a fantastic turnout and a huge variety of fabulous cars on display of all makes and models.

The 2007 Gold Coast All Ford Day was held for the second consecutive year at Cararra Show ground. There was a great turn out of some 200 cars. With perfect weather and the entertainment of Elvis, it was a great day for everyone. The FPV & XR Owners Club of QLD were the host club invited to the event and is really looking forward to the next GCAFD which is being held again by the club on the 10th of August 2008. 

I would like to begin by dedicating this to my dad, he passed away from Cancer on the 24th of November 2003. I produced this series during dad’s illness as a way to cope and capture the feelings I felt. The emotions throughout this series are described through the use of medium format tungsten film in daylight, which gives a very saturated and surreal blue cast to the images. There are feelings of anger, confusion and the sense that things are happening to someone you love and you are nothing but a spectator. In the theory of colour, dark blue/black is descriptive of sadness, hate, anger and confusion. On the other hand, feelings of Hope, peace and comfort are described by the appearance of light Blue/ White. This series was produced throughout the 6 months that dad was sick with cancer and the 12th image of the sun rays was taken the day before his passing. It wasn’t until the next day that this image took its place as the last frame in the ‘Emotions’ series.
